How to edit a podcast or interview from multiple files

Reading time: 1 min

How to merge several video or audio recordings into one podcast or interview file. Free online editing tools.

Podcast or interview recordings often end up split across several files — for instance, if the conversation was interrupted or recorded in parts on different devices. Before publishing, they need to be assembled into one complete file.

If the source is video

VideoMerger joins multiple video files in order — useful when an interview was shot in several takes or had breaks to change the camera battery.

If you only need audio

When you only need the audio track for a podcast, VideoToAudio extracts the sound from the video without quality loss, and AudioMerger then stitches several audio files (e.g., parts of a conversation) into a single episode.

Typical scenario

Recorded a video interview in two parts → extracted audio from each via VideoToAudio → merged both audio tracks via AudioMerger → got a finished episode ready for publishing on a podcast platform.

All three tools process files directly in the browser — source files are never uploaded to a server, which is important for private recordings.

Important: all files are processed in the browser and never sent to a server — safe for confidential images.
